The NSG 438A ESD simulator from Teseq is able to dissipate residual voltage in ESD testing and ungrounded equipment under test applications, and fulfils a range test standard requirements for automotive, household and industrial use.

An integrated discharge unit in the simulator can provide controlled discharge and observation time periods and has a discharge operation that can be programmed in three different time segments.

Discharge cycle time and ESD pule repetition intervals can be set by the user. The sum of the three time segments will be equal to the pulse repetition rate, which can vary from 0.1–99 seconds in intervals of 0.1 seconds.

The ESD simulator’s touch panel can be used to set the relay closing or opening time and allows the operator to monitor all three time segments.
