Teseq has introduced the CDN 3083-B100, a manual, 100A, three-phase burst pulse coupling/decoupling network (CDN) designed for electrical fast transient (EFT) or burst testing in the power and telecoms industries.

According to the company, the compact and lightweight CDN can carry out applications that require higher AC and DC voltages, as well as high-inrush or pulse-shaped peak currents such as those found in renewable energy. Applications include smart grids, inverters, solar and energy monitoring, electric vehicles and charging stations.

The CDN 3083-B100 is designed to be used with an equipment-under-test supply up to 690VAC, either line to line or line to protective earth, or up to 1,000VDC line to line or line to protective earth.

The portable CDN is said to be convenient for field testing and allows for more setup options in standard compliance applications because it is external to the generator and is very compact.

Although designed for continuous performance up to 100A per phase, the CDN 3083-B100 can withstand higher currents for shorter durations of time.
