CIBANO-500-Press-Release-1-Sep

In order to further enhance the testing capabilities of its circuit breaker test system Cibano 500, Omicron has launched two new accessories which support tests on circuit breakers with larger dimensions.

EtherCAT hub EHB1
The EtherCAT hub EHB1 specifically facilitates tests of high-voltage circuit breakers with many interrupter units. With the EHB1, users can test all the important circuit breaker parameters without rewiring, including circuit breaker designs with more than eight interrupter units.

In- and output module IOB1
IOB1 offers 6 additional input and output channels for Cibano 500. Due to EtherCAT com- munication, these additional 12 channels can be used for synchronously reading auxiliary contacts and controlling trip and close coils as well as breaker motors. Using IOB1 users can do an analysis of circuit breakers where the timing of more than six auxiliary contacts must be measured simultaneously.
