The new three-axis Fisnar F4200N robot from Intertronics is suitable for adhesive dispensing tasks in environments ranging from research labs to electronic production lines and component assembly.

The F4200N features plug-and-play installation in a compact footprint, with heavy-duty cast construction providing stability when working to fine tolerances, making it suitable for the shop floor or the development lab and small enough to insert into an existing production line as a process-enhancing retrofit.

From printed circuit boards and component location to structural adhesives and 3D gasket applications, the F4200N enables processes and costs that cannot be achieved manually, for example in medical, laboratory, pharmaceutical, electronics, optics, engineering and manufacturing, where small batch runs and/or 24/7 operation can be readily incorporated into the work cycle.

Functions include continuous path and point-to-point motions, dots, lines, arcs and circles with automatic offset calculation, a quick fluid-purge button on the front panel and a software tip alignment routine for quick program offsets when changing dispensing tips.

Step-and-repeat functions program one object only for multiple identical objects.

Step-by-step intuitive instructions simplify job creation tasks, allowing a program to be entered and running in minutes using a simple teach pendant.

The F4200N can handle a dispensing area of 200 x 200 x 50mm, with a capability to store up to 100 different programs with up to 4,000 points per program at a resolution of 0.001mm.

A 16-channel input/output interface enables communication with external devices for secondary applications and multiple dispensing equipment components.

A USB connector allows systems updates and program interchange between robots.

An optional Windows software package with a DXF file converter is available for programming from a computer.

The robot is a sophisticated three-axis design capable of interfacing with any Intertronics dispensing equipment and can use simple dispensing barrels, controlled by a pneumatic dispenser, or a dispensing valve, fed from some form of reservoir.
