Master Chemical Europe has introduced a new variation of its Trim E708 cutting and grinding fluid.

Trim E715 has all the features and attributes of Trim E708 but contains no formaldehyde donor biocides.

Formulated and tested at the company’s European laboratory, Trim E715 contains an alternative biocide package to ensure its long sump life.

This is a legislation-driven development as certain European Union countries have placed restrictions on the use of formaldehyde donor biocides in metalworking fluids.

Both Trim E715 and Trim E708 require minimal maintenance, even in demanding fluid management systems, and have the chemical and mechanical lubricity for medium- to high-duty machining and grinding.

As with Trim E708, Trim E715 is hard-water tolerant and is very low foaming.

This fine soluble oil emulsion is compatible with a range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, according to the company.

Field trials have shown that the fluid can achieve a particularly good surface finish on aluminium.

It has also been formulated to run effectively for long periods without the need for costly additives.

The need for this type of metalworking fluid is driven by EU regulation and
as a result Master Chemical Europe is now the leading manufacturer of
application-specific metalworking fluids.

When used in conjunction with Master Chemical’s trademark coolant management
strategies, these products provide optimum productivity and significant
operating cost reduction.

To provide greater capacity for this work the company recently moved to new
