The TTE Technical Training Group is adding more weight to its Apprentices for the Upturn campaign by commissioning a television advert.

The advert will highlight apprentices’ competencies, skills and abilities.

The aim is to encourage companies to sign up apprentices, many of whom have lost support due to the downturn in the chemical, steel-making and other industries in the region.

Another of its messages is that firms need to have a properly trained workforce of the future in place to capitalise on opportunities that will arise when the recession comes to an end.

It also emphasises that the skills learnt as part of TTE’s apprenticeship programmes are transferrable across a range of businesses.

The television commercial explains that: a skilled workforce can help employers reach the height of success; TTE apprentices are ready to spring into action in a range of industries; TTE apprentices are talented and motivated; and employer incentives are available.
