‘Quality means better prospects for the future — welding and quality management to EN 1090’ - .PDF file.

European Standard EN 1090 is making a lasting change to the business model of metalworking firms and of all parties affected. It also gives firms opportunities to put themselves on a sound footing for the future and to differentiate themselves from competitors by having clear quality standards. Meinrad Partl, managing partner of Metallbau Dekassian, is an enthusiastic adopter of the EN 1090 rules. His company has recently been certified by TÜV Austria. Before this, Metallbau Dekassian was already achieving considerable time and cost savings with the Certificate of Conformity Package from Fronius. This contains 50 qualified, certified welding procedure specifications that Metallbau Dekassian can use directly without having to go through the whole process of creating the specifications itself. The welding procedure specifications acquired by Metallbau Dekassian were drawn up by Fronius for its Transsteel system, which was designed specifically for steel welding.
