BEI has added more input/output (I/O) options and expanded the operational environmental capabilities of its 9960 series Hall effect rotary position sensor, which is available in the UK from Variohm Eurosensor. These sensors are suitable for harsh-environment applications.

The new options include validation to key aspects of ISO-7637-2 for passenger cars and commercial vehicles and compatibility with the harsh transients found in vehicle battery systems. Electrical options include 9–30VDC in / 4–20mA out and 15–30VDC in / 0–10VDC out.

The 9960 now also carries an IP69K rating for high-pressure, high-temperature wash-down applications.

According to Variohm Eurosensor, these options combine to make a rugged and reliable non-contacting rotary motion control sensor in a fully sealed design that is suitable for use in extremely wet, dusty and dirty environments.
