The new Verderair VA80 air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pump from Verder UK is designed to provide excellent corrosion and abrasion resistance.

As the pump is equipped with a quick-acting air valve design, there is no need for any ancillary equipment to improve its efficiency, according to the company. The complete air valve consists of only 13 parts, including the housing, and is fully externally serviceable. It does not require any lubrication.

Benefits include smooth and rapid changeover, efficient operation, low maintenance and downtime, leak-free operation and excellent material strength. In addition, the rigid four-bolted construction ensures equal sealing pressure across the sealing surface and therefore offers leak-proof pumping.

The VA80 is provided with an overmoulded fluid section frame designed to ensure good joint relaxation.

Verdermag
With the absence of mechanical seals, the Verdermag® range eliminates the danger of abrasive wear from the drive shaft and seal faces and instead uses an o-ring sealing system. As the pump has no vulnerability to containing the media, it can provide reliable handling of hazardous fluids such as volatile, corrosive and toxic chemicals with no risk to employees, the environment or surrounding equipment. The range encompasses compact low flow/head pumps commonly used in OEM systems through to high flow, heavy duty pumps rated up to 200 bar. For compatibility with all types of chemicals the range is available with both metallic and non-metallic materials such as ETFE and a range of alloys. Custom pump specifications are available.

Verderhus
