Hansford Sensors has added a new model to its recently launched HS-620 vibration monitoring kit.

The new HS-630 has all the facilities of the previous model but also offers a fast solution for measuring spot temperature.

The HS-630 vibration/temperature monitoring kit contains a compact, portable digital vibration meter operating with a handheld probe, together with a non-contact temperature measuring sensor aided by a laser locator beam.

It is designed to enable maintenance technicians to monitor vibration levels and spot temperature on important plant and machinery, helping to find potential problems and avoid future plant failure.

The new kit is suitable for engineers monitoring the trend of vibration and temperature on motors, pumps, gearboxes, fans and all rotating machinery.

Ideal as an entry-level unit, the meter’s portability means that measurements can be taken in situ in remote parts of the factory.

Conforming to the ISO 10816-3 Machine Vibration Standard, the unit can measure bearing condition and levels of velocity, acceleration and displacement, covering any of the four ISO machine group options ranging from large 300KW machines (Group 1) down to simple pumps rated at 15KW (Group 4).

It features a ‘Hold’ facility where the display will indicate the alarm status, shown as ‘OK’, ‘Vibration Alert’ or ‘Danger’.

The vibration meter is powered by an internal rechargeable battery that can operate continuously for 48 hours.

The battery condition is displayed as an icon.

The unit comes complete with both a mains-powered and an in-car battery charger.

The HS-630 kit, which is available as an ex-stock version, includes the vibration/temperature meter, the handheld probe, a magnetic mount, mains and in-car chargers and an instruction manual, all contained within a protective carrying case.
