With four vertical machining centres on display, Ward CNC will illustrate production routines for a range of workpieces at Mach 2010.

Being demonstrated under power, the Hyundai-Kia Hi-V50D twin-pallet dual table design model has 40m/min rapid traverse rates (in X- and Z-axis) capabilities.

Having Fanuc 21iM CNC featuring Manual Guide-I programming, the machine’s 600 x 500mm table is complemented by X-, Y- and Z-axis travels of 600 x 460 x 570mm.

The machine has a 30-tool automatic tool changer (ATC) as standard, with tool-to-tool and chip-to-chip times of 2.1 and 4.5sec, respectively.

From Ward CNC’s range of Hartford machines will be the Blockbuster Pro-3210 double-column vertical machining centre.

This has a 3,150 x 2,040mm table that is able to accommodate loads of 6,000kg.

X-, Y- and Z-axis travels of 3,050 x 2,100 x 780mm and feed rate in all axes is 7,000mm/min and rapid traverse rate (all axes) is 12m/min.

Speeds of 6,000rev/min are available via the 22kW spindle, which has an ISO 50 taper.

With a table of 1,450 by 800mm for workpieces weighing up to 1,600kg, the Hartford Tornado HCMC-13 heavy-duty vertical machining centre will be demonstrated under power and cutting.

The machine offers axes travels of 1,300mm in X by 800mm in Y and 660mm in Z.

Rapid traverse rate is 16m/min (all axes) and cutting feed rate (all axes) is 10,000mm/min via the 4,000 (6,000/10,000) rev/min 15/26kW spindle.

The ATC offers 20 tools as standard.

Also under power and cutting, the Hartford Power Centre Pro-1000 vertical machining centre offers X, Y and Z-axis travels of 1,000 x 600 x 630mm over the 1,150 x 600mm table that can handle loads of 700kg.

Rapid traverse rate is 24m/min (all axes) and cutting feed rate (all axes) is 12,000mm/min.

The 12.5kW motor offers 6,000rev/min and the ATC accommodates 24 tools.

In addition to four turning machines from Hyundai-Kia and two from Hankook, Ward CNC will also display the Soraluce TA-35A high-end specification travelling-table ram-type CNC milling machine.

Ward CNC’s range of large-capacity Union machines will be represented by graphics displays and video footage.

Details will also be available of Ward CNC Finance, as well as the activities of the Ward CNC Retrofit Division.
