Weidmuller will be presenting its wide range of connection solutions at Southern Electronics, from 3.5mm pitch PCB connectors right up to heavy-duty devices.

The company’s two-row 3.5mm connectors provide maximum connection density in a small footprint – equivalent to 1.75mm pitch for standard industrial cables.

This is 30 per cent smaller than a single row 2.5mm pitch but with a 140 per cent in robustness.

The company will also demonstrate its range of heavy-duty connectors with housings rated for IP68 level protection, intended for extreme environmental conditions.

This class of protection helps ensure trouble-free operation under the toughest climatic conditions, together with excellent EMC performance.

Weidmuller also supplies switched-mode power units through its Connectpower series, suitable for universal applications because of their variable input from 85 to 265V AC or 340 to 575V AC.

They are offered as single-phase switched-mode power units for power classes up to 500W and as three-phase units up to 1,000W.

The devices have radio interference suppression and can be used for industrial applications as well as building automation.
