This white paper explains how mass flow control technology from Bürkert Fluid Control Systems has aided the development of a virtual scalpel that is designed to allow surgeons to achieve more with less damage to tissue. Plasmajet comprises a console, a service trolley and a range of single-use handpieces. The console houses the control system and LCD and touchpad. There is also an integrated cooling circuit, which uses Bürkert fluid control valves to cool the tip of the handpiece.
