Wildeck has introduced the V-Lift, a hydraulically operated, cantilever material lift that can be installed either in a shaftway, or freestanding with optional structural framing.

The V-Lift is designed to meet the ANSI/ASME B20.1 Safety Standard for Conveyors.

It features guide columns constructed of 6in wide-flange structural steel and a hydraulic ram with large 2.1/2in diameter dual pistons that deliver a smooth, positive lifting motion.

The V-Lift’s robust single-cylinder hydraulic system prevents twisting during operation and eliminates all moving hoses, cables and chains.

According to Wildeck, fewer components means easier installation, reduced maintenance, and longer service life.

The standard V-Lift carriage dimension is 6ft x 6ft with a lifting capacity of up to 3,000lb.

Material can be safely loaded or unloaded in a C, Z or 90-deg pattern, allowing for installation flexibility.

Models are offered for servicing heights up to 14ft.

Safety interlocks prevent the vertical reciprocating conveyer (VRC) from moving unless the gates are fully closed and the gates are designed to open only when the carriage is at a designated level.

Additional safety features include: mechanical stops that ensure positive levelling with the upper deck; redundant overload protection that prevents the carriage from lifting if loaded to more than 120 per cent of its rated capacity; and velocity fuses that safely control VRC descent.

Complementing Wildeck’s standard V-Lift package is a host of carriage options, ramps and controls to meet additional customer requirements.

Adding to the V-Lift’s environmental benefits is a 100 per cent phosphate-free paint pre-treatment process incorporating a non-toxic biodegradable alkaline powder that is said to virtually eliminate the introduction of volatile organic compounds into the atmosphere.
