Wolf Safety has introduced an LED Wolflite model, as well as a retrofit unit that will enable customers to upgrade existing Wolflite Rechargeable ATEX Handlamps with the latest LED technology.

The Wolflite H-251ALED incorporates a fitted-for-life light source, eliminating the need for changing bulbs, reducing downtime and maintenance and improving the quality of light and level of light output.

It also increases the sealed lead acid rechargeable battery’s life from seven to 24 hours, providing approximately 12,000 hours of light output from just one battery, an increase of 8,500 hours.

To upgrade an existing H-251A Worklite Handlamp, the user simply removes the centre contact and bulb from the lamp and replaces it with the new LED module H-79P.

This LED Wolflite version is ATEX-approved for Zone 1, llC T4 IP66, meaning it is suitable for use in areas where a potentially explosive gas, vapour, mist or dust may be present.

The Wolflite H-251ALED is suitable for use in industrial sectors such as the fire, utilities, offshore oil and gas, marine and water treatment markets.
