The TSOs have launched a ‘TSO System Security Corporation’ with the aim of building a permanent TSO Security Panel and a common IT platform through which the participating operators can perform data exchange and security assessments.

The platform is scheduled for completion next year and is hoped to play a significant role in the integration of Europe’s wind energy plans, as well as improve cross-border trading and electricity transportation.

Participants include Verbund APG, TIWAG-Netz, VKW Netz (Austria), swissgrid (Switzerland), EnBW Transportnetze, E.ON Netz, RWE TSO, VE Transmission (Germany), TenneT TSO (the Netherlands), PSE Operator (Poland) and CEPS (Czech Republic).

Between them they cover an area that is home to 170 million European citizens.
