Construction at Coventry University Technology Park is approaching completion with the final two plots of formerly derelict land cleared and ready for redevelopment.
The technology park encompasses the TechnoCentre, which houses the Innovation Centre and Conference Centre, the Enterprise Centre for expanding companies, the Design Hub and the Innovative Village.
Development of the new sites will begin this year – one for the new Health Design Technology Institute and the other for the ACT-UK centre for advanced construction training.
Julian Ingleby, acting managing director of Coventry University Enterprises, said: ‘The Health Design Technology Institute will be a landmark building on the park to bring together all those elements of the supply chain in assistive technology products and services for health care – a major growth sector in which the university has a vital role to play in applied research and professional training.
‘The ACT-UK Simulation Centre will be a flagship building in the middle of the park, housing the UK’s first virtual reality construction site to train up construction managers.’
