Test drive a sensor on the net

The World Wide Web is now being used for some fairly practical things. Design engineers who would like to see how a safety switch or a clear object detector operates in practice can now do so by accessing the Rockwell Automation website. The multimedia presentation is interactive and the viewer can test drive the sensor range. It is possible to preview a sample from each of the presentations before downloading from the Internet.

The engineer needs a browser equipped with a Shockwave plug-in. The plug-in can be downloaded after accessing the Rockwell automation website. The address is www.automation.rockwell.com.
