Titan Systems Corporation awarded $41.5 million contract

The Titan Corporation announced today that its subsidiary Titan Systems Corporation has been awarded a contract by the US Air Force with a potential value of $41.5 million.

The Titan Corporation announced today that its subsidiary Titan Systems Corporation has been awarded a contract by the US Air Force with a potential value of $41.5 million through to December 2006.

Awarded by the Air Force’s Electronic Systems Centre (ESC), the contract supports ESC’s Information Technology Services Program needs for the Global Grid Product Area Directorate (PAD).

The Global Grid PAD is an acquisition and integration organisation that is designed to create and support an integrated ‘global grid,’ as part of the Air Force’s command and control network.

The grid pulls together existing fixed and deployed infrastructure, including hardware and software applications, networks, radios, and planning tools of the US Air Force and other branches of the US military.

Under this award, Titan will provide a wide range of information technology and program management support for the acquisition, test, integration, fielding and continued evolution of Global Grid product lines and programs, including the Combat Information Transport System (CITS), Theatre Deployable Communications (TDC), and programs within the Radio Product Group.
