DaimlerChrysler paid around 710 million Euros for its share in MFTBC, some 50 million Euros less than the initially planned investment of 760 million Euros, due to exchange rate fluctuations.

During the coming weeks, the commercial vehicle business of the Hyundai Motor Company will also be spun off to create the ‘Daimler Hyundai Truck Corporation’ (DHTC), a company in which DaimlerChrysler is acquiring a 50% share for a price of 400 million Euros.
