Unipart’s manufacturing arm fabricates automotive exhaust systems, with stainless steel exhausts for new Land Rovers on a major product line. They have switched to ESAB’s stainless steel welding wire supplied in Mini Marathon Pacs having previously used wire supplied on reels. Unipart is making significant savings on the cost of consumables and there is less downtime associated with changing reels. The COP testing also shows that the welding process is much more consistent and the product quality has improved.
