Neither the contract value nor the name of the customer has been disclosed.
The orders consist of 116 units of V52-850kW wind turbines and 50 units of V90-1.8/2.0MW wind turbines for the Guangdong and Shandong provinces, respectively.
The orders include wind turbine delivery, transportation, installation and commissioning, a VestasOnline Business SCADA solution as well as a five-year service and maintenance agreement.
Delivery of the turbines is scheduled to start during the second and third quarters of 2010.
Jens Tommerup, president of Vestas China, said: ‘We have been working closely with this customer on wind turbine siting as well as project planning, and we are ready to provide them with full technical support in the execution phase as well.’
As of 31 December 2009, Vestas had an accumulated installed capacity of more than 2,000MW in China.
