The Danish wind turbine builder Vestas Wind Systems has received an order for 45 of its V90 2.0MW turbines and three units of its V90 1.8MW turbines from RES Skandinavien, a wholly owned subsidiary of Renewable Energy Systems, an international wind farm developer, contractor and owner.
The order for the Havsnäs project, located in Strömsund in the Jämtland region in Sweden, includes supply, installation, commissioning, a VestasOnline Business Scada system, as well as a five-year service contract.
The owners of the project will be HgCapital - a British investor in renewable energy - and RES Skandinavien.
Delivery of the wind turbines for the Havsnäs project, the largest onshore wind farm project to be built in Sweden, is scheduled for the summer of 2009. Commissioning is expected to begin during the winter of 2009/2010.
