Passenger car and truck manufacturer Volvo has recognised Schaeffler Group as one of its top ten suppliers in 2008 for the supply of wheel bearing units for trucks.
Schaeffler received a ‘Best Supplier 2008’ Award from Volvo in recognition of the company’s excellent quality, delivery accuracy, custom product innovations, cost effectiveness and continuous creative and positive collaboration.
For more than 15 years, Schaeffler has been the sole global supplier of wheel bearing units for front and rear axles to Volvo’s truck plants. Most of these wheel bearings are manufactured at Schaeffler’s Berndorf plant in Austria.
