Combidrive has completed an on-road world record for diesel consumption in its purpose built ‘Mouse’ car. The Mouse achieved 255.9mpg. The Mouse is also the current record holder for off-road diesel consumption, achieving 568mpg at the Shell Mileage marathon in 1996. It made its attempt on the on-road record in December, and was independently adjudicated by Peter DeNayer from the Automobile Association. The Mouse is a plastic bodied, three wheeled, single seater, road legal vehicle weighing 250kg.
