WSP appoints counter-terrorism expert to head security consulting service

Former bomb disposal officer Chris Driver-Williams has joined WSP to head its security consulting division following his role as a senior counter-terrorism advisor for a number of organisations including Canary Wharf Group.

In a career spanning 25 years, Chris has gathered extensive field-experience in counter-terrorism and has operated in most contemporary conflict zones around the World, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Colombia and Libya.  He has advised various high profile commercial, military and governmental organisations on terrorism threats and associated security systems.  Notably, he also saw service with the British Special Forces and as an intelligence specialist during his military career.

Security consulting is an increasingly valuable area of building related projects for WSP clients and Driver-Williams’ arrival will give the company a rare opportunity to build upon the successful position it already enjoys in the areas of structural blast and electronic security design.
