WSP set to advise on Sizewell C transportation assessment

WSP has been appointed to lead the transport assessment work for the Sizewell C nuclear power station. The company is the lead adviser on efforts to minimise the transport impact of the project on the surrounding environment.

Teams have been working on devising solutions that allow for an accommodation campus to house 2,000–3,000 workers, two potential park-and-ride sites near the A12, a freight management facility near the A14 at Ipswich and a marine jetty for transporting bulk materials both in and out of the site.

Up to 5,600 people will work on the site at the peak of construction.
