Yorkshire Water buys pressure management units from I2O

I2O Water’s advanced pressure management technology is helping Yorkshire Water to reduce leakage and improve control over its network.

The UK water company — which manages the collection, treatment and distribution of water in Yorkshire — ordered 62 pressure management systems for PRV control and 30 for network monitoring.

The I2O systems, which are designed to tackle leakage problems by automatically and continuously managing pressure within water pipelines, have been installed in a range of locations across Yorkshire, including Harrogate and Longwood, near Huddersfield.

The systems have reportedly already made an impact, with improved customer service and savings of more than 1.5 million litres of water a day expected in the Longwood area.
