Boeing has confirmed that Air New Zealand has placed an additional order for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, adding two airplanes to its earlier two-airplane 787 order.
Air New Zealand is the second 787 customer to place a follow-on order for the new Boeing jetliner, having placed its initial order in June as part of a long-haul fleet announcement. The two new airplanes are valued at $260 million at list prices.
Air New Zealand‘s new 787s will be powered by new Rolls Royce Trent 1000 engines. Boeing says it now has 295 orders and commitments from 24 customers for the 787.
