Building Up the Pressure

Grundfos introduced a new generation of pressurisation units to their portfolio in 2005 – the IMpress (Intelligent Microprocessor, pressurisation set) range introduced two models, in single and twin pump variants that offered substantial benefits over both their predecessors and other available makes.

These IMpress models have proved highly successful perhaps because they offer many features and controls including multi-programmable alarms, timers, password access and on-board fault sensors.  The IMpress Advanced offers additional features including a history log, automatic pump test, remote pump fault sensing and a ‘service due’ feature as well as linking directly or remotely to BMS system.

To augment this range Grundfos have now introduced two new versions (available as single and twin pump variants) that, in addition to performing as the existing Advanced pressurisation units, also injects glycol into the system to maintain the agreed mix ratio – IMpress Glycol and in the case of IMpress H/C offers the ability to pressurise both a Hot and Cold water system independently from one single system.

The new extended family will enable Grundfos sets to monitor and maintain an even wider range of pressurised sealed systems, all with the extra assurance that they have the reliability of the Grundfos name to back them up.
