DuPont Chemical Solutions Enterprise
announced earlier this week that it has acquired
Belco Technologies Corporation, an air quality control company servicing oil refineries worldwide. Financial terms were not disclosed.
“There is a global demand for healthier air and increasingly sophisticated methods of air pollution control,” said DuPont Environmental Solutions Business Director James Pawloski.
“Combining Belco’s technology for sulphur and nitric oxide emission reduction with DuPont’s suite of technology for sulphuric acid alkylation, sulphuric acid regeneration and sulphur gas recovery gives refinery customers a single source of solutions for their most difficult sulphur challenges,” added Pawloski.
Established in 1968, Belco has been a member of the international Neptune Technologies group since 1989. The company designs and delivers gas cleaning systems used to eliminate particulate and toxic component emissions by the refining industry.
