Raytheon has been awarded a $114 million contract by the US Missile Defense Agency to implement the Upgraded Early Warning Radar programme at Thule, Greenland.
Raytheon has been awarded a $114 million contract by the US Missile Defense Agency (MDA) to implement the Upgraded Early Warning Radar (UEWR) programme at
Pete Franklin, vice president of Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS), said, "The UEWR at Thule will build on the radars that we've already deployed to Beale Air Force Base in California and Royal Air Force Fylingdales in the UK, and will add significantly more surveillance coverage for the US missile defence mission."
