Acergy to develop Victoria Field

Aberdeen-based Silverstone Energy and its management contractor ADIL have awarded a £9m contract to Acergy, a Surrey-based seabed-to-surface engineering and construction contractor, for work in the southern North Sea.

The contract covers the installation of a flowline and control umbilical and associated subsea construction work to develop the Victoria Field gas well as a tieback to the Viking BD platform.

First gas, expected to be delivered in September 2008, will be exported 130km through the Viking Transportation System subsea pipeline to the Theddlethorpe Gas Terminal on the Lincolnshire coast.

Silverstone owns 50 per cent of the Victoria field, with the remaining equity held by ConocoPhillips and BP.
