Alfa Laval’s cross-flow membrane filtration beer recovery system developed to recover beer and surplus yeast from brewing process

Alfa Laval’s cross-flow membrane filtration beer recovery system has been developed to recover beer and surplus yeast from the fermentation and maturation stages of the brewing process. The system is so efficient that it can recover up to 2% of total beer production as high quality, oxygen-free beer. The plate and frame design of the filtration modules and the open channel configuration ensure excellent flow dynamics, high levels of efficiency under low pressure conditions and low cost of membrane replacement.
