Alstom awarded metro contract

Alstom Transport has been awarded a contract to design and implement a train control and signalling system for the extension of two Delhi metro lines.

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) awarded the €43m contract to Alstom as part of the 37km extension of metro lines one and two. Alstom will provide URBALIS, its information and train control system, on the above and underground sections of the metro.

This contract follows Alstom’s work on the signalling for the same Delhi metro lines in 2001.
