AMEC awarded IPMT contract

AMEC was awarded the multi-million dollar contract by Petrochina Dushanzi Petrochemical Company. The contract begins immediately and will run for two years.

According to a statement, this is AMEC's second major contract on the $3.5bn petrochemical expansion project located in the Xinjiang Autonomous Region.

The company was appointed in August 2005 to provide project management, engineering, planning, cost management, safety, health and environment, quality assurance and other related consultancy services together with its proprietary project management software, Convero.

‘The Dushanzi contracts reinforce our position as a growing services provider in China, where we have worked for more than 70 years,’ said Tony Cruddas, President - Growth Regions, AMEC Natural Resources. ‘China's oil, gas and petrochemicals production is having to keep pace with the country's rapid industrial and economic growth and we are delighted that our project management, safety and technical expertise has a role to play.’
