Anixter Components (formerly Heyco) has announced a new range of ATEX-approved cable glands for use in hazardous locations (type ‘e’ or ‘d’ according to EN50014, EN50018 and EN50019). The glands fix cables securely in place and are suitable for applications in machine apparatus and plant equipment, control and feedback systems, railway vehicles and industrial installations. The range is available in sizes from M16 to M32, with diameters of three to 25mm and the can operate in a temperature range of -20 to +95 degrees C.
