London-based Smiths Group has announced contracts worth a total of $45m won by its medical division

, a London-based technology company, has announced contracts worth a total of $45m won by its medical division.
Contracts won by Smiths Medical’s Critical Care business include a $30m renewal of a contract with a Group Purchasing Organisation (GPO) for IV catheters for the US hospital market; a further contract with the same GPO for hypodermic needles worth $5m; and additional contracts worth $11m with GPO customers for products such as arterial blood gas sampling kits, circuits and masks for anaesthesia and hyperinflation for resuscitation.
Work under the contracts is scheduled to be completed in two to three years.
