today announced a series of military contracts, valued at more than C$60 million. The contracts are with the German Navy, United States Air Force (USAF), and major prime contractors such as EADS North America and Lockheed Martin for simulation products and training services on a range of US military programs.

The contract with the German Navy, valued at over C$31 million, is to design, manufacture and maintain a new P-3C operational tactics trainer (OTT). The P-3C OTT will be used to train the rear-crew sensor operators in the P-3C Orion aircraft. When networked with the P-3C operational flight trainer (OFT), which CAE is currently upgrading, the German Navy will have a fully-integrated P-3C full mission simulator capable of training the pilots and sensor operators for all the missions performed in this aircraft. The P-3C OTT is scheduled for delivery to the German Navy Air Wing in Nordholz in 2008.

Under subcontract to EADS North America, CAE will develop the first UH-145 cockpit procedural trainer (CPT) for the United States Army. CAE will also build a second UH-145 CPT for American Eurocopter's training centre in Grand Prairie, Texas.
