Chinese hydraulics

Parker Hannifin is to form a joint venture with the China-based Tianjin Tejing Hydraulics Company to produce hydraulic components and systems in China.

Parker will be the major partner in the new venture, which will be known as Parker Tejing Hydraulics. Like Tejing, the new JV will also produce hydraulic pumps, valves and cylinders for the mobile market.

Parker established sales and service operations in China in the early 90s. Aside from the new JV, it also operates two other wholly owned production facilities, another two joint ventures, three sales offices and two warehouses in the country.

Earlier this year, Parker Hannifin acquired Markwel Hose Products, a manufacturer of braided and spiral hydraulic hose products, with operations in Mumbai and Hyderabad, India.
