Eaton has supplied 500 Halyester glassfibre reinforced polyester enclosures for use on the M1

Eaton has supplied about 500 Halyester glassfibre reinforced polyester enclosures for use in electrical feeder pillars on the M1 motorway. The pillars, manufactured by Tofco Ltd, a leading manufacturer of street lighting furniture, will supply power to lighting and communications systems. Separate enclosure of components such as isolators, contactors, fuses and terminals is required to give IP66 protection of the devices and to provide electrical separation for electricians working in the pillars. Visibility of the devices and wiring within each enclosure is another major benefit.
