Emerson expansion

St Louis-based technology company, Emerson has acquired Decision Management International (DMI) of Bradenton, Florida, which provides software products and consultancy services, for an undisclosed financial value.

DMI will be integrated with Emerson Process Management, which will acquire all DMI technologies, applications, services and employees.

Emerson and DMI have already collaborated on the digital architecture, PlantWeb, which integrates DMI’s Compliance Suite software with Emerson’s DeltaV. The technology is said to enable high data integrity, which ensures consistency and correctness in paperless manufacturing solutions and an integrated, electronic batch record that improves overall cycle times and reduce manufacturing costs.

The acquisition will allow Emerson to expand its automation solutions, which covers the entire process facility operations, to include production recipes, materials, equipment trains and overall site documents.
