for its project to re-power Unit 3 at

Entergy's

Little Gypsy station,

.

The total cost of the re-power project is estimated to be approximately $1bn. The value of Shaw's contract was not disclosed.

The re-power project will include replacing an existing natural gas-fired boiler with two new circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boilers which will supply steam to an existing steam turbine generator.

Upon completion, Little Gypsy Unit 3's CFB boilers would be capable of using a range of fuels, including petroleum coke, which is a high-energy, refinery by-product waste.

The project will also include the engineering and installation of emissions controls systems, including a selective non-catalytic reduction system (SNCR) and circulating dry flue gas desulphurisation system (FGD) to reduce nitrogen oxide and sulphur dioxide emissions.

Shaw will also provide fabricated piping systems and industrial structural steel fabrication from its Sunland pipe facility in Walker, Louisiana and its Shaw SSS Fabricators steel facility in Addis, Louisiana, respectively.

Based on current projections, the new facility is expected to be operational between 2011 and 2012.
