Excel Automation to take on translift EMS Business in the UK

Following the withdrawal from the market of Digitron-Translift Ltd, the well known UK automated systems supplier and licensee of Translift’s Electric Monorail Components and Systems (EMS), Excel Automation UK Limited has concluded a license agreement with TL-Systems AG, the Swiss based Holding company of the Translift group, which allows Excel and its subsidiaries to utilise, exclusively within the UK, the Translift trademark, intellectual property and EMS product range of the Licensor.

To operate the ongoing Translift EMS business, Excel has established Translift Systems Limited as a separate subsidiary. Translift Systems Ltd will have no direct involvement in completing existing Digitron Translift projects and no responsibility for warranting completed projects.  However, former customers of Digitron-Translift will be able to obtain ongoing support, spare parts, modifications and/or extensions to existing projects through Translift Systems Ltd, which will be supplying the same products and technologies.

Commenting on the agreement, an enthusiastic Gary Sweeney, general manager of both Excel Automation and Translift System says: “We believe the arrangement with TL-Systems AG is a major step forward for Excel. The Translift name is synonymous with EMS and the technology will dovetail neatly with the other products in our extensive range of materials handling solutions.”
