Expert Group on course for record year

A Coventry engineering firm is to grow its workforce after landing a series of new contracts.

The Expert Group says it has landed more than £6.5m worth of orders in the first five months of 2010 and is said to be set for a record year.

Now the company, which makes assembly and automation equipment for the automotive, aerospace, machine tool and transport industries, is looking to take on around 10 employees to handle the orders.

Expert owner and managing director Angelo Luciano said the growth in orders reflected a degree of returning confidence in the automotive sector and manufacturing industry in general.
