GE opens Russian facility

has opened a Sales, Services and Technology Centre in Moscow in an effort to assist Russia and the CIS modernise their energy and petrochemical infrastructure systems.

The centre has been designed to integrate GE’s activities in its Power and Water, Energy Services and Oil and Gas divisions with those of its customers and partners in the region.

In addition to improving its Russian operations, the site will feature a product demonstration and training area to provide customers and employees with hands-on operational experience of the company’s plant optimisation, control and oilfield technologies.

Ricardo Cordoba, president of GE Energy for Western Europe and North Africa, said: ‘Our new facility demonstrates GE’s long-term commitment to invest in sustainable energy infrastructure development in the region. By ensuring our technical, operational, engineering and commercial resources are located closer to our customers, we can more rapidly respond to their needs in any part of Russia and throughout the region.’
