Chloride Motive Power has donated two specialist batteries for use in a rescue boat, which covers the coast and rivers of Southport. The batteries use spiralwound technology and offer practical benefits over conventional flooded batteries that can deliver similar advantages for other users of industrial batteries where safety is paramount. The electrolyte in the batteries is stored in gel which will prevent spills and, in the event of damage, avoid leakage.
