Deutsche Bahn has awarded telent a contract to upgrade and integrate the communications infrastructure of the German rail operator’s interlocking system, ESTW, in Bad Vilbel.
The project will see telent plan and deliver telecommunications equipment for the ESTW signalling system along the railway.
The contract will include the installation and commissioning of fibre and copper cables, transmission systems and public address systems.
The contract also calls for the installation and commissioning of fire and burglar alarm systems, digital communication systems, video-surveillance infrastructure, plus gate and detection systems for railway crossings.
