Gravatom delivers UKAEA containment ahead of schedule

Gravatom has successfully completed the design, build, test and commissioning of a glove box for the safe segregation and re-packaging of waste at the Dounreay nuclear decommissioning site. Gravatom completed the job ten days ahead of schedule. Hugh Miller, General Manager at Gravatom’s factory in Workington, West Cumbria, said: “Gravatom worked closely with UKAEA throughout the entire project, including risk assessment. We are delighted to have delivered the glove box ahead of programme and we hope this will be the start of a longstanding working relationship with UKAEA at Dounreay.”
