The Swedish Air Force has ordered
’s latest version of Helmet Mounted Displays (HMD) for it’s new generation Gripen fighters in a deal worth $54m.
The HMD system, which includes BAE Systems' Cobra helmet, displays weapon and basic flight data directly onto the helmet visor giving the pilot a ‘heads-up’ display at all times.

Saab described the HMD as a key element of the advanced systems fit in the Gripen, which has already been ordered by the South African Air Force.
